Jesus was asked what is the greatest commandment in the law and Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:37-40.
When we operate out of love we also have peace! It IS hard to love the unlovely, but remember that hurting people hurt others. Let’s make a conscious effort to ask God to bless them and give them grace. Pray for them to have the peace of the Lord to know that whatever they are going through, God can handle it and bring them to the victory! Do NOT take on offense – forgive them for they don’t know what they are doing since they are operating out of pain and they don’t know who you are in Christ.
